Table of 2
2 + 1 =3
2 + 2 =4
2 + 3 =5
2 + 4 =6
2 + 5 =7
2 + 6 =8
2 + 7 =9
2 + 8 =10
2 + 9 =11
2 + 10 =12
Trick to remember the table of 2:
Adding 2 skips one number: from 7, jump over 8 and land on 9. So 2 + 7 = 9.

How to Learn Addition Facts Faster
Start from the bigger number and count on. For 2 + 9, start at 9 and count two more: 10, 11.
Learn the doubles first: 2 + 2, 3 + 3, up to 10 + 10. Near-doubles then come easily: 6 + 7 = 6 + 6 + 1 = 13.
Learn the pairs that make 10: 1 + 9, 2 + 8, 3 + 7, 4 + 6 and 5 + 5. They are the key to adding bigger numbers.
Order does not matter in addition: 3 + 8 is the same as 8 + 3, so you only need to learn half the facts.
Practise with the answers hidden for five minutes a day. Trying to remember fixes a fact far better than reading it again.

When you see
Trick
+ 1
The next number: 6 + 1 = 7.
+ 2
Skip one number: 7 + 2 = 9.
+ 9
Add 10, take away 1: 7 + 9 = 17 − 1 = 16.
+ 10
The tens digit goes up by one: 23 + 10 = 33.
+ 11
Add 10, then 1 more: 5 + 11 = 15 + 1 = 16.
Doubles

8 + 5 = 8 + 2 + 3 = 10 + 3 = 13.
