Frequently Asked Questions

Each course's grade points are multiplied by its credit hours, these weighted values are summed across all courses, and the total is divided by the total credit hours: GPA = ∑(grade × credits) ÷ ∑(credits).

It uses the standard 4.0 scale, where A/A+ = 4.0, A- = 3.7, B+ = 3.3, B = 3.0, B- = 2.7, C+ = 2.3, C = 2.0, C- = 1.7, D = 1.0, and F = 0.0.

Courses with zero, blank, or invalid credit hours are skipped from the calculation. If every course is invalid, the calculator asks you to add at least one course with credit hours.
